With the 6th pick in the NBA Draft…

Published by Erick Ward at 1:46 pm under NBA, NBA Draft, New York Knicks Edit This

I’ve never seen him play, but the New York Knicks will select Italian forward Danilo Gallinari.

According to DraftExpress.com, he has a lot of the usual qualities of an international player. He’s fundamentally sound, versatile, good skill for his size, and can shoot. But, unlike a lot of other international players, he’s tough, he attacks to the basket, gets to the free-throw line, and seems like a bigger Manu Ginobili.

Gallinari has also played at the highest level, besides the NBA, and been productive. He seems like the perfect fit for Mike D’Antoni to try and turn around the Knicks.
